Historical Information :

The tiara was created using diamonds and a sapphire circa 1870 for Grand Duchess Marie Adelaide of Luxembourg. In 1919, Grand Duchess Charlotte inherited the tiara after the abdication of her elder sister. Grand Duchess Josephine and the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa were also the ones of the wearers of the tiara. The tiara is worn by not only Grand Duchesses but also by so many women in the family.
