The Girls of Great Britain & Ireland Tiara

Historical Information :

The tiara was purchased in 1893 by Lady Eva Greville in the name of "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" and gifted as a wedding present to Queen Mary. In 1914 the design of the tiara had changed and the pearls removed. In 1947, Queen Mary gifted the tiara to her granddaughter Princess Elizabeth as a wedding present. The tiara became the very favourite of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II due to its lightweight and so comfortable to wear.
